A Dark & Mystical illustration for a CD Cover for Kiva Records.š¦ š“ Creating this cover fulfilled one of my childhood dreams to be a sci-fi/fantasy illustrator for books and album covers.
I designed and digitally painted the image freehand by using Adobe Fresco and Photoshop. I just love the natural charcoal brushes by Kyle T. Webster. They allowed me to paint with strong textural darks and lights in order to create a dramatic mood with shadowy forms. ššš
Note: that later the client wanted to replace the hawk with an owl. If you scroll down on my Instagram account, I have a video that demonstrates how I did that in Photoshop.
